More model informationWooden canopic chest of Yuya from the Tomb of Yuya and Thuya (KV46), Valley of the Kings, Egypt. This wooden chest contained four alabaster canopic jars, each containing the mummified inner organs of Yuya. The chest is currently on display in the Egyptian Museum, Cairo.
Yuya and Thuya were the father and mother of Queen Tiye, the great royal wife of Amenhotep III of the 18th Dynasty. The tomb was discovered virtually intact in 1905 by James Quibell and Theodore M. Davis.
Created from 90 photographs (Canon EOS Rebel T7i) using Metashape 1.6.1 and Blender 3D 2.8. Blender was used to fix some minor aspects of the geometry and texturing caused by the lighting conditions in the museum. Photographed in January 2020 in the Egyptian Museum, Cairo.
