More model informationAn ancient Egyptian canopic jar lid from the site of Abydos. The object was excavated along with three other canopic jars and lids which are all in the form of human heads (as was typical of the Middle Kingdom). Only this single lid remains in the collection of the Garstang Museum of Archaeology.
