This artifact is a Canton Ware Lid. The artifact is white porcelain with blue designs painted on it, it is round with a crack on one side of it, and also has a handle to make it easier to pick up on top. This artifact was used as a lid for a bowl. It could have been meaningful to its owner because this artifact was usually created in China and back when this was made transporting things took a long time and it most likely had to go overseas. I chose the archeological theme cultural expression and art because of the blue designs and the design of the lid itself. I also chose class as one of my themes because back when people used this artifact in Fort Vancouver you had to be pretty wealthy to own nice dishware such as canton ware.
