Capt. Roger Newberry 1706-1741: Capt. Newberry has a plain marker, but when his daughter, Elizabeth (Newberry) Bissell, the wife of Daniel Bissell died in 1749, her stone also memorialized her father Roger Neubary, who died in 1741 at sea, in the King’s service.His wife, Elizabeth Wolcott, was the daughter of Gov. Roger Wolcott.
