Outcrop within a private plantation near Carr Edge, Frankham Fell, N of Fourstones, Northumberland.
This exposure of carved outcrop sits within Carr Edge Plantation and was first spotted by NADRAP Team 4 during their surveys of the area. It was added to ERA in 2008 and referenced ‘Carr Hill 15’. The team recorded:
“The small exposed flat piece of outcrop at the top of crag has at least four clear cup-marks. Much of the rest of the outcrop above is covered by soil and tree roots. Attractive natural erosion lower down.”
