Case Shot

Made of iron, this case shot found at the Princeton Battlefield State Park, would be fired at a distance of 200 yards or less. This kind of shot was packed tightly with other balls in a shell wrapped in a thin metal layer of tin. When discharged, the shell would produce dozens of small iron balls which were exceptionally deadly at close range.
