Cast of Alexander Fraser Seal, NRS3D ModelNoAI
This is a scan of a seal cast of Alexander Fraser.
In 1307, Alexander Fraser swore fealty to Robert the Bruce (King Robert I), fighting in military campaigns and the Battle of Bannockburn in 1314.
Around 1316 Fraser prestigiously married Mary Bruce, whose brother was Robert the Bruce. Fraser was appointed chamberlain of Scotland, according to a charter from 10 December 1319, until at least 5 March 1327. He was killed in battle in 1332, for Robert’s son and successor King David II.
His seal is attached to the Declaration of Arbroath.
