The Castle of l’Isle, located in Saint-Denis-en-Val on the southern bank of the Loire, is a ruined castle whose construction began in 1530, initiated by Jacques Groslot, bailiff of Orléans. In September 1866, a Loire flood caused the levee to break 150 meters from the castle, which was already in poor condition, leading to its partial destruction. In 2023, the entire ruins were officially classified. http://chateaudelisle.unblog.fr/
