Ceremonial- or battleaxe of late type from the Danish Neolithic Battleaxe Culture, about 2.400 BC. Dimension: Length 13.5 cm, width:5.6 cm, thickness by shafthole: 3.0 cm. Diameter of fully drilled shafthole: 2.3 cm. The shafthole is set well to the rear. The axe has a curving downward rounded butt with percussion marks, and the edge is curving downward too. Manufactured in a layered black to white granite stone. Found on top of a demolished passage-grave at the site Damsbo Mark, by Haarby on Funen, Denmark, feature A1.
