This monument is located within a few meters of Monuments 3 and 4, and is carved into a large boulder rock face that forms a niche like, sloped opening. The carved detail follows the curved niche and depicts a reptilian/crocodilian -like creature with a human figure shown extending from its mouth. The USF DHHC laser scanned this monument using phase shift (entirety of sculpture area and terrain) and blue light scanning instruments (detail areas). GPS survey information on position and relationship of the sculpture was also collected. This work is part of a collaboration between USF DHHC and Mario Córdova Tello (Director del Proyecto Chalcatzingo, Morelos), and Carolina Meza Rodríguez (INAH).
