Carved outcrop on Chattonpark Hill, Northumberland.
Large exposed area of outcrop on Chattonpark Hill, with the full extent measuring 12.5m x 7.5m. The surface slopes from west to east and has cups, dominos, variants of cups with multiple rings, grooves and enhanced natural grooves. This model shows the lower eastern part of the panel. Unfortunately, the imagery captured in 2007 didn’t have sufficient coverage to create a model of the whole surface.
Recorded on the Beckensall Archive as ‘Chatton 1a’ it was added to ERA by NADRAP in 2008.

This stone is marked on Ordnance Survey maps but surprisingly isn’t covered by scheduling.
This decimated model was created from 40 stereo pairs captured using a 5mp Nikon Coolpix 5400 by Joe Gibson in January 2007. The imagery formed part of the NADRAP / ERA archive.
In 2017, Dr Aaron Watson created a model showing the whole surface: https://skfb.ly/6OrHI
