HMS Nelson was the first Royal Navy battleship to follow the rules set in the Washington Naval Treaty, together with her sistership “HMS Rodney” they were very distinctive with their gun placement and superstructure shape. Nelson served the Royal Navy from 1927 to her decomissioning in 1948.
