Background information: Hongshan Jade Dragon is so far the “oldest” dragon-shaped jade sculpture in China, having a history of over 5000 years. It is dark green, 26 cm high. This jade sculpture has deer’s eyes, snake’s body, pig’s nose and horse’s mane, representing the creative imagination of ancient Chinese. It is praised by archeologists: “The No. 1 Dragon in China”.
