In 1890, the people of Podbuzh bought a wooden church and in one (!) night moved it from the village of Opaka, which is 7 km from Podbuzh, installed it in the attic cemetery and consecrated it as the Church of the Transfiguration of the Lord. It is likely that when it was installed, it was rebuilt a little, in particular, the sacristy was completed on the south side. Perhaps one window on the north side was boarded up at the same time. “Now, the church is three-log, on the octagon nave is crowned with a large pear-shaped bathhouse with a lantern and a dome” - this is how its experts describe it.
