Clay pipe bowl

Found during a current excavation in the Peak District. This pipe bowl has not yet been cleaned. There is a definite decoration just below the rim of the bowl. At first we thought it might have also had a painted decoration, but this is more likely just staining from the soil it’s lain in for many years
