More model informationA German World War Two blockhaus on the beach of Wissant in the north of France (coast of the North Sea). It was part of the Atlantic Wall. It collapsed due to the coastal erosion and the retreat of sand dunes. This is one of the effects of climate change that increases extreme events (like winter storms) in intensity and occurences. The storms accelerate the natural erosion of sandy coastal areas.
