I receintly picked up a “New to me” Walter Products Life-Size Heart model and wanted to see how it scanned so I used RealityScan which resulted in an OK result but had issues with the shinny top veins and arteries so I did a 2nd scan with my Revopoint3D Mini using their RevoScan5 software and was finally able to get a finished model (the earlier versions wouldn’t work for any of the items I wanted to scan). I put both the Photogrammetry images and a sightly edited OBJ from the Mini into RealityCapture, rendered them again and did a final edit in ZBrush. Basically, I’m lazy and want the best results with the least amount of work. This was a bit more work than I had hoped to do but much less than I’ve put into other scans so overall, I’m happy with the results.
