The common bottlenose dolphin (Tursiops truncatus) is widespread in all the seas of the world, with the exception of the Arctic and Antarctic areas. It ranges from 2 to 4 meters in total length, and weigh between 150 and 650 kilograms. Males are generally larger and heavier than females. It feeds on eels, squids, shrimps and fishes and it does not chew its food, instead swallowing it whole.
