Coyote Now, by Ryan Feddersen3D Model
“Part graphic novel, part coloring book this immersive installation brings the adventures of Coyote to life. From land use and climate change to our relationship with nature and technology, Coyote’s tale helps us explain our current world.
In North American indigenous folklore, Coyote can be brought back to life if any scrap of him (i.e. bones, fur, or body) remains after his death. Opening August First Friday, Artist RYAN! Feddersen invites you to help continue Coyote’s story into the 21st century. Using the Coyote bone crayons seen here, visitors drawings will become the scraps needed to bring Coyote back to life.
This floor-to-ceiling interactive art installation by Washington-based indigenous artist RYAN! Feddersen brings Coyote into the modern day adventures of the 21st century. Feddersen invites visitors to color in the drawings using handmade crayons shaped to look like coyote bones.”
