Cruciform brooch - migration period3D Model
A cruciform bronce brooch, the lower part of which ends in an animal head. The bow is decorated with inlaid silver threads. The pin is fully preserved, while the pin holder is partially eaten away by corrosion. The decoration consists partly of a silver rope ring, partly of a rope ring with a silver and a copper wire twisted together. The animal head has a strip of silver and copper as a collar and angular band above the muzzle. The contours of the eyes are silver with copper pupils, furthest down the muzzle a zig-zag pattern of silver wire. The circumstances of discovery is uncertain, but on a beach. Might be the remains of a female grave from a beach burial ground.
