More model informationThis unidentified shipwreck is called the Crystal Wreck by local divers not because of some crystal feature, but it appears to have been the beverage used to celebrate the discovery. It is approximately 117 to 123 ft long and 25 or 26 ft beam and appears to have two masts and could be a schooner or brig in rigging. One interesting feature is the rounded bow. One suggested identity by Georgann and Michael Wachter is the schooner E.S.J. Bemis which was built in 1855 and lost in 1870 15 miles from Port Rowan, Ontario. Today it is a popular dive site off Long Point, Lake Erie. The model was created from 1,300 30 megapixel images shot by Andrew Goodman and Tamara Thomsen supported by Carrie Sowden in the 2023 season.
