Since I do not have a drone of my own (yet) I asked Youtuber “That Hiking Guy,” who uploaded some 4k Raw footage of a drone flyover at Cumberland Falls Kentucky.
Here is a link to his channel: https://www.youtube.com/user/ccolbert4
Thank you for letting me use the footage to create this.
What I’ve Learned: - Taking the time to crop out the sky is going to save the model. - On the Align Photos option to select resolution, medium is much faster than high when so many photos are being used. However at high altitudes, closeup resolution suffers at medium. - 4k or DSLR data FTW. - Water is always going to be a pain. - Shoot when light does not change.
The film had a solid 30 minutes of video coverage, but only 2 minutes of it was usable due to it being shot during the transition between overcast and sunny conditions. The difference in those lighting conditions warped previous attempts unrecognizable - not a fault on his part. The original file was only intended for video production.
