In one of the home sanctuaries of Tyra in the early 70s of the twentieth century. cups with inscriptions were found. One of the inscriptions read “Drink and rejoice.” The very shape of the cups is quite popular, but the inscriptions are rare. Such cups were intended for libations in honor of the gods, including the underworld, and after the death of their owners, they were placed in the graves as cult things. Researchers believe that it is possible in this home sanctuary that sacrifices and libations could be made to the souls of deceased ancestors, whom the Greeks revered as their deities.
