“I’ve defeated you before. I’ll do it again.” David growled.
“I was caught by surprise then. But now, you’re alone, and without your dear friends to rescue you.” Malrus stated. David took a step towards him, without any fear on his face. Malrus raised his arm forward.
“Fall.” he commanded with authority. David felt charged with tension, as the air around him froze with fear. Although the Grand Sword helped him fight off mental attacks, it wasn’t strong enough on its own, and he struggled just to stay on his feet. Malrus walked towards him, the look of hate spread over his face.
“I must admit, your tenacity impresses me, human. To willingly throw yourself in the face of danger again and again.” Malrus began to approach him.
“You are strong, child. But strength is not enough to overcome me. I am this world’s inevitable future. Fields laid barren, yielding not a single crop. Houses burning, families charred inside them. An empty sky void of the sun and moon. These are the world’s fate.” Malrus declared.
