Selected key ambition addressed onsite is “Emerging Fields”, due to the existing grading and landform opportunities that are offered as reprogrammable spaces.
Infrastructure upgrades and manipulations of the pathway will be undertaken in the initial 5-6 years. Whilst implementation regarding micro-climate vegetation plantations will be managed in multiple 5 to 10 year intervals; in order to prevent heavy maintenance and to observe adjustment to changing conditions - Field Operation’s “WHAT WILL GROW HERE?” (J.C.F. and Scofidio, 2015).
Considerations of climate change, increasing urban density due to the predicted rise in human population all contribute to the idealised outcome of the space in 2050 as a multipurpose urban linkage corridor, whilst being an attractive refuge and respite area.
The model’s annotations address the main intended site surface manipulations, from swale planting to width/porous pathway sections.
