More model informationA character model made for a unit at University. In this unit we were tasked with designing characters based purely on a “type” to make. For this character it had to be based around the type of Dino-Mech. We then had to design, model and then texture these characters in a 4k triangle limit +- 10%.
After several iterations and designs I eventually settled on this character as it felt cute and fit the junky vibe I was going for. I then created some orthographic shots of it and then modelled it inside of 3DS Max. The textures were created and applied inside of Substance Painter using material groups. The mech came out as one big 1024x1024 map.
