An ancestral Maya mano (grinding stone) discarded during reduction in antiquity. Note the reduction notch near the center of the object. This was a common strategy used when creating loaf-shaped manos to get the stone to the desired circumference. The object was recovered from the Buffalo Hill Quarries site in the Mountain Pine Ridge, Belize.
