This small dog skull was found in the moat of Kirby Muxloe Castle, Leicestershire when it was dredged in 1913. William Hastings planned to transform the manor house on the site into a fortified castle and work began in 1480. However, following Hastings’ execution by Richard III in 1483, work promptly stopped.
