Dopp Fighter Variants (Kai, II and RE)

The Dopp fighter is the mainstay fightercraft of the Zeon airforce, while its aerodynamics are questionable, throughout the Gundam franchise there have been several variants of the craft made.

(Left) The Dopp Kai appeared in the MS Era Pictorial and seems to be a sleeker redesign of the base model.

(Center) The Dopp II was a late war model that improved the aerodynamics and gave the option to be equipped with bombs to serve as a figher-bomber. It appeared in Mirage of Zeon, deployed by an Endra during the Neo Zeon War.

(Right) The Dopp RE is an oddball design from Pillow Talk Gundam Night=Hawk (Yes that is seriously the name), and was deployed out of a flying carrier aircraft in a defense role. I’ve interpreted it as a lightweight variant that forego weapons to improve performance and also serve as a recon plane.
