Dowel Stacked Joint (Bamboo)

The Dowel Stacked Joint has been developed to hold a board in place without the use of tools. The lock section of the dowels is within the thickness of the board. The bevelled end of the dowels lets them slide down and outwards causing them to wedge in the hole. In order to increase the stability of a 4 corner construct, like a Bookshelf, the dowels need to be oriented diagonally across the boards. All components can be produced with standard carpentry tools or CNC production lines.
