More model informationThis is a woodblock carving by W. T. Green from a drawing by Richard Doyle, made as a full page carving for “Part the Second” of Charles Dickens’ The Battle of Life. Doyle was, fun fact, uncle to Sir Arthur Conan Doyle. Below is a comparison of an actual print made from the block and a ‘virtual print’ generated from a ~10 million polygon scan of the block’s surface. This is an updated version of this model.
