Dragonglass Arakh (Game of Thrones Fanart)

I made this stylized arakh (sickle) inspired by Game of Thrones, for the “fire and ice” art challenge held by ZugZug studio. My concept was what if the Mother of Dragons Daenerys’s dragonglass (obsidian) weapon from one of the seasons was instead an arakh sickle, as an homage to her Dothraki “roots” and her love for Khal Drogo.

The blade of course being obsidian, though in a very unrealistic shape for the brittle material. Dragon-wing inspired crossguard, the typical bone hilt you see on many dragonglass daggers in the show, covered in a scale-inspired wrapping. And a gem for fun!

The style was heavily inspired by World of Warcraft, and the asthetics perhaps too inspired by Sailor Moon. I modeled in Blender and handpainted the textures in 3DCoat Textura.
