A recent study I made of a DSLR camera, with a primary focus on improving the realism, accuracy, and overall quality of my texturing skills. Although I didn’t set myself a hard texture or tri budget, I aimed to create this model with the mindset of it being a hero prop within a game, potentially as an item closely inspected by the player. Having a physical object to study and observe as a reference was definitely very helpful, and I have learned a lot from this project so I hope to do more studies like this in the future to develop my skills further.
Originally modelled for rendering in real-time with Unreal Engine 5.2.
