Built in 1910 by trapper and bushman Paddy Hartnett, Du Cane Hut is the oldest hut on the Tasmanian Overland Track. Constructed almost entirely from split King Billy pine, it is one of very few huts that remain with the traditional timber chimney. The hut is as crooked as it appears to be.
