I didn’t set any goals for this project, it was spontaneous. Despite this, I like it a lot.
I based the coloring of this duck off of the Pekin duck breed, and the height off of the Indian Runner duck breed. It has around 1,500 polygons, and the texture is 256 x 256 pixels.
I’m not sure of if this actually qualifies as low poly since it seems like something that would be acceptable in a modern mobile game, but not a computer game.
An issue that I am aware of is the lack of weight paint adjustments; I don’t really understand how to use them yet, but I tried. In the end, I set the model back to complete automatic weights. I plan to do some more reading and video-watching on the subject so that posing and animation looks better.
