Outcrop found S of Lordenshaw multivallate hillfort on Garleigh Moor, S of Rothbury, Northumberland.
This area of exposure is referenced ‘East Lordenshaw 3e’ on the Beckensall Archive (BA) and recorded as having 8 cups. NADRAP added the record to ERA in 2008 describing:
“This moderately large panel projects only slightly above the earth levels to either side. The number of motifs is uncertain as a series of bowls are of uncertain origin. If they are taken as artificial then motifs are scattered across the whole of the panel, otherwise the cup marks are generally localised to the left hand of the panel.”
