More model informationFragment of an ancient Egyptian statuette made out of limestone. Two women are shown standing sid-by-side against a back board which terminates at shoulder height. They are of the same height, and both stand with their feet together with their arms at their sides. The heads and lower portions of the figures ae missing.
Each figure has a column of inscription in hieroglphs down the front, with a third column running between them. the central inscription. the central inscription reads ‘An offering the king makes to Osiris, the great god, Lord of Abydos’. The inscriptions on the front of the women direct the offering to their souls, and give their names: Meryendedet and Senset.
