The Elder Things (also known as the Old Ones and Elder Ones) are a fictional alien species created by H. P. Lovecraft, which make their first appearance in the 1936 novel At the Mountains of Madness. Additional references to the Old Ones appear in Lovecraft’s short stories The Dreams in the Witch-House and The Shadow Out of Time.
