My last ISU project is a 3D model of The Radley Place. I used the information in the novel to make design choices such as the colours, textures, size, shape and overall look of the house. Out in front, there is a broken down road to mimic the ones that Maycomb would have along with a sidewalk that wraps around the left side of the house. The fence surrounding the entire house is broken and covered with old, chipped paint. The grass below is dead, but trees still manage to grow out and block the house from light. The doors are closed and windows are shut with green curtains. Around back, among the broken fences, there is an opening big enough for small children to fit through. The house features two porches guarded by decayed railings and old wood flooring. In conclusion, I made my model to resemble what the true Radley house looked like in the mind of Harper Lee, a rundown house with careless inhabitants.
