Enterprise In Space (EIS) is a program of the National Space Society. EIS will build this winning design by Stanley von Medvey, and send it into Earth orbit as the first real spacecraft bearing the name Enterprise. EIS will engage the next generation in STEAM Education using an artificial intelligence tutor and student contests to win the right to orbit one of 100+ experiments aboard the NSS Enterprise.

During spaceflight, mission science payloads and experiments will be activated, and educational projects will be conducted. After a controlled re-entry, the orbiter will be retrieved and sent on an international tour along with the results of student experiments. EIS will demonstrate and pioneer new technologies while inspiring and encouraging space enterprise, and is a tribute to the great visionaries of science and science fiction.
