Constructed in 1953, it honours the sacrifice of the eponymous individual during the Second World War. Lim was active in anti-Japanese efforts, leading a resistance group known as Force 136. Despite being betrayed and arrested by the Kempeitai, he refused to name his companions even after repeated torture.
