Etruscan column-krater from the Necropolis of Poggio Pinci, Asciano, Tuscany, Italy
Etruscan red-figure column-krater. Pink-brown clay with black paint and red-figure decoration: naked armed short men on either side, flanked by palmettes. Attributed to the workshop of the “”Painter of Hesione”“, active in Volterra. Second half of the 4th BCE. Tomb III.188, Necropolis of Poggio Pinci, Asciano. Mangani 1983, n. cat. III, 2. Displayed at the Civic Museum of Archaeology and Sacred Art at Palazzo Corboli, Asciano.
