More model informationIn the Etruscan Door, artist Immacolata Datti experiments with the technique of using clay as if it were stone. Four elements in four different shades of earth, the Etruscan Door, massive and totemic, echoes “in the negative” the silhouette of the death door depicted in the bottom of the Cerveteri tombs. But here the door lets us enter and pass through, skirting them, other walls, perhaps other experiences of worlds or lives, to then reach the last, closed, definitive wall. The fourth door - the Sufi mystics say - the ‘Gate of Earth’ can only be opened with the heart.
