This stone was used as a base for the executioner’s stump on Bernardyński Square, where an unfortunate accident occurred. Later, it was moved to Rybna Street, where the scent of spilled soup attracted nearby dogs that died after licking the stone. People became convinced that touching the stone brings bad luck. The stone was also used to build an oven in a bakery, which ended in tragedy. Finally, it ended up on Litewski Square, where a soldier fell on it and lost his life. The stone still lies near the Trynitarska Tower, showing a notch from the executioner’s sword.
