Falcon-headed Snake Stela

Rectangular stela, showing a coiled falcon-headed cobra in front of an offering table. The position of the snake is reminiscent of Meretseger stelae of the New Kingdom from the Theban area, however the falcon head on this example is unique. Composite falcon-snake demons are known from the Egyptian underworld books, but it does not seem a likely identification in this context.
