Fanning out of columnar joints in adesitic lava. This outcrop is associated with the andesitic autoclastic breccia of another spectacular outcrop at Playa Monsul (https://skfb.ly/6RLDF) and is approx. 100 meters NW of it. The outcrop is approx. 1-4 meters tall and 10-18 meters wide, with individual columns having a diameter of 15 - 20 cm.
