This shroud allows redirecting the flow of a 120mm fan so that it forces the air out to only one side of a 100mm x 120mm+ heatsink. The slope helps redirecting the air flow with less friction than a 90 degrees angle, a rounded shape might have even less friction, but the slope can be printed without supports. Typical use case is to force the air to come out the top of a heatsink with vertical fins, preventing warm air from coming out the bottom and rising back into the fan. A .blend file is provided to adjust the model for different fans/heatsink sizes. Tip: Mount the shroud and fan to the heatsink by screwing them to rubber/foam blocks jammed between the fins, that way it will absorb vibrations and can easily be removed by sliding the assembly along the fins.
