Flynt - Solid Character

Flynt is one of the many characters in the current short I’m working on, The States of Matter. The Fantasia inspired short takes the viewer on an intergalactic adventure through space through the solid, liquid and gas worlds to teach the viewer about the states of matter.

Flynt is the featured character in the Solid World. This section was desert inspired, so I took inspiration from North African traditions; body painting in particular. The red paint on the hands and feet are reminiscent of henna, where one can dip their fingertips in the paint to bring attention to their hands as well as make intricate designs. The arms and legs emulate clay, while the outer shell is made of desert rock.
