More model informationFort Victoria, Isle of Wight, was built in the 1850s as one of a series of forts and defences built to protect the western Solent from a perceived French threat. It had several uses over its life, and now stands as the focal point of Fort Victoria Country Park.
The photos for this model were taken with a drone in 2015 and work to create the 3D model and virtual tour were produced as part of the National Lottery Heritage Fund Fathoming the Future project. You can find out more about the project here.
Discover the story of the Fort with this interactive tour, and through booklets on our website.
