Area of carved outcrop found in the Fowberry Moor/Newtown Moor area, near Wooler, Northumberland.
This area of outcrop has numerous motifs consisting of cups, rings, partial rings and grooves. In some areas the motifs are highly eroded and barely visible, whilst others still display peck marks. It isn’t known whether the difference in wear is down to some areas of outcrop being exposed to the elements longer or different phases of carving. Recorded on the Beckensall Archive (BA) and by NADRAP as ‘Fowberry Enclosure 2’, it was added to ERA in 2008.
